You can close your account in the app at any time. Move or spend your money first, because once your account is closed, you can't open the app or reach your balance. See How do I send money or get my money out?
How to close your account
To close your account, follow these steps:
- Tap your profile picture at the top left, then Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Close Account.
- Confirm that you want to close it.
Your account is closed as soon as you confirm.
What happens to your data
We keep records of your transactions for at least 6 years after your account is closed.
To see, correct or delete your personal data, email dpo@pyypl.com. We may keep data that the law requires us to keep. For a complaint about your data, see How do I make a complaint?
If you want to open a new account instead
You can have one Pyypl account. See My account was blocked because I have more than one account.
