You open an account in the Pyypl app, and you log in with your mobile number and passcode. To open an account, you must be 18 or over and live in a country where Pyypl is available. See Is Pyypl available in my country?
To open an account
Download the Pyypl app from the App Store or Google Play, tap Create account and follow the steps. We send a code to your mobile number by SMS. Then verify your identity with your original, valid passport or national ID card. See How do I verify my account, and which documents are accepted?
To log in
To log in, follow these steps:
- Open the Pyypl app and tap Log in.
- Enter your mobile number.
- Complete the Show us you're human check.
- Enter your 4-digit passcode, or use face or fingerprint login if you've turned it on.
If you forgot your passcode, see I forgot my passcode, or I want to change it. If you have a new phone number, see New phone or number, or lost phone.
If you can't sign up
- If your number is already registered, log in instead. Each person can have only one Pyypl account.
- If the app shows an error, make sure you have the latest version of the app, then try again.
- If you still can't sign up or log in, contact us: on the login screen, tap ? to open the Help Centre, then tap the chat bubble.
If you didn't get your sign-up code
Check that you entered the right mobile number and country code, and that your phone has signal. Then ask for the code again.
If we send you a code, only enter it in the Pyypl app, on the screen that asks for it. We'll never ask for it by phone, email, chat or message.
Still need help? Chat with us in the app. The chat works even if you can't log in: on the login screen, tap ? to open the Help Centre, then tap the chat bubble. You can also use the chat on pyypl.com, email care@pyypl.com or use the web form at pyypl.com/contact. We work on weekdays during working hours, so messages sent at the weekend may take longer to answer.
